Nothing Beats Gatorade commercial 2018

The “Nothing Beats Gatorade” commercial is about how Gatorade can help anyone be the best athlete they can be. It shows two football players from rival teams training as hard as they can, and they drink Gatorade to get electrolytes. That way they can replenish what they lost from all their training. The video sent a message that Gatorade can give you the edge you need to beat even your greatest opponent. It shows that every great athlete that’s trying to be their best is doing it, so you should do it too. It’s a great ad to get you motivated to go work hard. This commercial was so great because it included what they wanted to sell, a focused target to sell to, and it can motivate you. This is what I thought about this Gatorade commercial.

Got Milk? Advertisement

This week I decided to talk about a poster instead of a video. I picked an iconic got milk poster. This one is about baseball. In the text box by the milk it talks about how milk can give you the strength you need to do good in baseball. All the elements in this add just work together so well, and target a specific person to buy their product. They got a young, healthy boy that plays baseball, and they inspire those people to drink milk to play better. This is a great example of how an advertisement should be designed. It contains a good and memorable slogan, it targets the consumer they want, and it promotes what they want to sell. I will remember this if I have to make a poster for a product.

 

Kool-Aid Unboxing Commercial 2018

This new Kool-Aid advertisement was about introducing the new Kool-Aid Sparklers. The new thing about the drink is that it contains bubbles. The commercial introduces this by making Kool-Aid Man stir himself and creating bubbles like in the picture above. Then they transition to a picture of the actual drink, and talk bout it. I think the new bubbly feature makes the drink more interesting, and fun to drink. I like these kinds of commercial because they are short and get to the point. I realized that if I wanted to make an advertisement for a product I should make it simple and easy to understand. That way people will know what they are going to buy, and they won’t ignore it for being too complicated.

Little Baby’s Ice Cream Creepy Advertisement

So far I’ve been only writing good things about ads, and what I like about them. This week I decided to switch things up and do the opposite. I’m going to talk about the things I don’t like about the Little Baby’s Ice Cream advertisement. Not only was this ad super creepy, the picture only shows you a little bit about how creepy it is, I don’t think that it sends the right message that it should. This is because the advertisement is for ice cream. This means that you want people to think it’s good to eat, but watching the ice cream guy eat himself makes you not want to eat anything. This is why I think this ad doesn’t send the right message. This ad gives me a good idea of what not to do for my campaign. I will not create an ad that will contradict with what I am selling. This is what I learned from watching this advertisement.

Coca-Cola “Share A Coke” advertisement 2018

This Coca-Cola ad was about sharing a coke between father and son. It was really touching, and the music made it even better to watch. I think their use of ethos in this ad was brilliant. They made a scene of a father and his son bonding over a coke bottle. It’s so heart warming it makes you want to go buy a coke so you can also create a better relationship with your family. I like their “Share a Coke” because not only can it increase sales it can also attract, and engage with their customers. Since I am trying to make a campaign for a drink, Coca-Cola’s “Share a Coke” is a great example of a successful campaign for a drink that I can learn from.

Spotify Premium Advertisement

The Spotify premium ad has been my most watched ad for the past year now. I have been very stubborn with Spotify, and have tried to listen to songs for free for about a year now. However, my interest in music just grew so my brother and I gave in after hearing this ad too many times. We bought the premium account and can now enjoy our own music whenever and wherever we want. This ad has taught me that there are many ways to promote your product. You can give the customer the choice to have a free account, but limit something that they can only get if they have a premium account. Then if the customer really enjoys your product s/he will be willing to pay for the better account. That way both the buyer and the owner can be happy and get what they want.

Lil Yachty Sprite Commercial 2016

This sprite commercial with Lil Yachty was genius. Not only was it entertaining to watch, but it benefited both Sprite and Lil Yachty’s brand. From this 16 second commercial they were both able to attract a lot of attention to their products. This advertisement is a great example on how working with a good partner can help grow your business. Creating a good advertisement can get you the attention that you need for your business to succeed. This is what I learned from the Lil Yachty Sprite Commercial in 2016.

Funny Old Spice Commercial

For my first blog I want to talk about my favorite commercial, “Anything’s Possible”. It basically tells you that anything is possible if you smell like a man, and you can smell like a man with Old Spice. I thought this commercial was amazing, because it was first commercial that I actually thought was funny. So many random things happened in this short commercial I would never get tired of seeing it, and that’s why I still remember it to this day.

Even though this commercial is really old, I still wanted to talk about it since it really impacted me. Now whenever I want to go buy deodorant I always think about Old spice. Next week I will talk about another commercial that I like, and what I thought was so good about it.
